Summary
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II provides technical support in electrical, controls, and mechanical maintenance. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving automated production equipment. Functions as a Journeyman-level maintenance technician with broad technical expertise.

Summary
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II provides technical support in electrical, controls, and mechanical maintenance. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving automated production equipment. Functions as a Journeyman-level maintenance technician with broad technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Ensure production equipment complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions related to: Electrical safety, Shielding and guarding, Safety interlocks, and Emergency stop systems
- Complete safety review checklists for New equipment, and Significant process/equipment changes,
- Follow all site safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hot work procedures, and Confined space requirements
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Identify and maintain necessary spare parts inventory.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
- Adjust preventive maintenance programs as needed.
- Train and mentor production associates on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
- Assist with updates and accuracy of equipment-related SOPs.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements that:
- Reduce costs
- Improve quality
- Increase customer satisfaction
- Ensure product availability and timely delivery
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as:
- PPI (Practical Process Improvement)
- Lean Manufacturing programs
- High School Diploma required; advanced education in a scientific field preferred.
- Technical certification is a plus.
- 3 5 years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience troubleshooting automated equipment, electronics, sensors, motors, servos, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong mechanical skills, including equipment disassembly, repair, and reassembly.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, lubrication, electrical, and industrial automation systems.
- Experience with automated production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of general construction, repair, and maintenance practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, CMMS, and inventory management software.
- Ability to work in manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, cleanroom, and outdoor environments.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
