Summary
Manufacturing Engineer responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving production processes to transform design concepts into high-quality products. The role focuses on supporting production readiness, optimizing workflows using Lean methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Support startup activities for ULT production, including equipment validation, layout updates, and operational readiness.
- Develop and establish new manufacturing processes while improving existing ones.
- Apply Lean methodologies such as value stream mapping, standardized work, and continuous flow.
- Design and specify tools, equipment, racks, fixtures, and data systems to improve process efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Design Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, Sourcing).
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions during qualification and product launch.
- Improve product quality, delivery performance, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor s degree required (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering preferred)
- 2 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Experience with high mix/low volume manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with fabrication and assembly processes (metal components, wire harnesses, foaming, brazing, leak testing, validation)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- 2D/3D drafting (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Automation, robotics, and mechatronics
- PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, DirectSoft)
- HMI systems (PanelView, C-more, Pro Designer)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Data analysis and computer proficiency
- Project management and capital expenditure justification
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities
