Summary:
Upstream Manufacturing role responsible for sampling, media preparation, and inoculum activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. The position requires working a rotating 12-hour night shift, following gowning procedures, standing for extended periods, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform upstream manufacturing activities, including sampling, media preparation, and inoculum.
- Follow established manufacturing procedures and safety requirements.
- Perform proper gowning procedures.
- Collect and handle manufacturing samples accurately.
- Prepare media and perform inoculum-related activities.
- Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and records.
- Follow GMP, safety, and contamination-control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and compliant manufacturing environment.
- Work effectively with manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
- Experience in upstream manufacturing or a pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing environment preferred.
- Hands-on experience with sampling, media preparation, and inoculum preferred.
- Ability to gown and work in controlled/cleanroom manufacturing areas.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally/infrequently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule.
