**Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineer Position**
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Southington, CT.
This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months and an hourly pay rate of $26.41-$34.74.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Laboratory, inventory, and equipment maintenance
- Performing technical work requiring competency in mechanical engineering
- Participating in 6S and lean initiatives
- Conducting evaluations, selection, and adaptation of standard techniques
- Devising new approaches to problems
- Managing sample inventory and general inventory
- Analyzing data and reporting results
- Planning and conducting projects
- Coordinating with internal departments and vendors
- Engaging in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives
Requirements include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 years' work experience as an engineering technician or associate's degree with 2 years' work experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment/testing, communicate effectively, and provide suggestions for improvement
