Summary
This is an opportunity to work as a Customer Site Supervisor / Lab Supervisor within the Instrument and Enterprise Services (IES) division. In this role, you will leverage your leadership, service management, and relationship-building experience to support the ULS team. The position serves as an Asset Management resource for a key customer account, overseeing day-to-day laboratory operations, asset management activities, work order coordination, inventory management, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage account/site operations in alignment with program contracts and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Support account strategy to achieve revenue growth, margin expansion, operational goals, and customer retention.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Assist with contract renewals and support preparation/presentation of SOW deliverables.
- Drive customer satisfaction and long-term client loyalty.
- Support quarterly business reviews and present account performance updates during meetings.
- Implement action plans and tracking mechanisms for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and asset management guidelines, including inventory management processes.
- Monitor service activities to ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records in Resource Center databases, including work orders, service requests, and purchase order details.
- Track and maintain service contracts and financial documentation while ensuring vendor compliance.
- Review field service reports and invoices for technical accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procedures.
- Update and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records for onsite assets and entitlements.
- Coordinate and escort service engineers within laboratory environments.
- Support issue resolution and customer concern management.
- Provide support and guidance to site service staff.
- Follow all company and customer safety and security procedures.
- Participate in PPI (Practical Process Improvement) projects to improve operational performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in Agriculture, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Biomedical, or related industries.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or people management experience with direct employee oversight.
- Strong understanding of laboratory operations, engineering processes, and safety protocols.
- Experience with CMMS systems and related asset/data management software.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated values of integrity, innovation, accountability, and teamwork.
- Primarily works onsite at customer locations including laboratories, offices, storage rooms, and shipping/receiving areas.
- May be required to work independently within customer facilities.
- Physical activities include walking, standing, sitting, lifting, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, repetitive motions, and computer-based work.
- PPE requirements may include lab coats, gloves, facemasks, coveralls, hairnets, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and bump hats depending on the work environment.
