Job Description
- Stationary test apparatus instrumentation w/proprietary and off-the-shelf data acquisition equipment.
- Data acquisition & compilation including system data, performance data, etc.
- Participate in and support stationary testing including test cell configuration, maintenance, installation / removal of test parts, etc.
- Parts/consumables ordering including inventory management.
- Troubleshoot & repair mechanical (when necessary) & electrical systems (primary focus) which includes off-site – (at customer - field) sites.
- Perform routine maintenance where necessary of test units, test equipment, associated peripheral equipment, etc.
- Take part in and support development of Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) prior to commencing work.
- Issue daily, weekly and/or periodic general and technical reports where necessary.
- Some overtime (average: 1-hour per day) and travel (~25%) is expected.

Requirements
- Minimum 5-Years automotive dealership experience.
- Experience in diagnosis & repair of Hybrid / Electric Vehicles & Systems incl. certification through an OEM service program.
- High voltage and low voltage experience.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams (for systems and instrumentation).
- Fabrication experience (i.e., machine shop, welding (MIG & TIG), etc.)
Meet or exceed the following criteria:
- Good driving record – no accidents & traffic violations within the last 3-years.
- Proficient w/ Microsoft Windows, email, MS Word, Excel (agency to submit results of a computer aptitude test demonstrating experience level).
- Excellent communication & organizational skills.
- Works well independently - without direct supervision.
- Capable of adapting to a continuously changing work environment – including at remote test locations or customer sites.
What you may bring
- Knowledge and/or certification in Fuel Cell systems (client or other) highly preferred.
- Automotive or other R&D testing experience incl. use of various data acquisition systems and instrumentation of test vehicles / articles.
- High voltage certification (1000V AC/DC).
- Experience in adjacent fields such as commercial/industrial electrical systems, generators (natural gas / electric / diesel), compressors, motors, & PLCs – commissioning, testing, diagnosis, and repair.
- Experience with fabrication of high pressure pneumatic and/or hydraulics systems using Swagelok or other.
- Experience driving an M/T vehicle.

- Prescription Safety Glasses - Safety eyewear must conform to the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) Z87.1-1989.
- Safety Shoes (EH and / or SD rated) - specific to job function.
- EH Rating - ASTM F2412-05 & ASTM F2413-05
- SD Rating - SD-ASTM F2413-05
- Agency to provide work clothes where required.
