Lead Backend Engineer (Java/Spark, ETL, AWS)
Location: Onsite - McLean, VA (Primary) or Wilmington, DE Hybrid (Secondary)

Required Skills & Experience
- 7 years backend development experience with strong proficiency in Java.
- 4 years building distributed ETL/data processing workflows using Apache Spark.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless data services: Step Functions, Glue, Lambda, S3.
- Proven ability to design secure, large-scale file ingestion and data transfer pipelines.
- Deep understanding of batch processing, distributed computation, and data performance tuning.
- Experience working in CI/CD-driven environments with automated testing and deployment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical direction, standards, and quality without direct people management duties.
