About the Role:
We're seeking a skilled Structural Steel 3D Detailer to join our engineering team. You'll create precise 3D models and fabrication drawings for complex dry bulk storage structures using SDS2 software—from concept through production. If you enjoy hands-on work and seeing your designs come to life in the shop, this role is for you
Key Responsibilities:
Create and manage 3D structural steel models (columns, beams, bracing, stairs, railings, etc.).
Produce 2D erection, anchor bolt, and shop fabrication drawings.
Generate CNC files, material lists, and bolt counts for procurement.
Review and release fabrication documentation for production.
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to meet project goals.
Ensure compliance with AISC, AWS, ASCE, IBC, ANSI, and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Technology.
3 years of SDS2 3D modeling/detailing experience.
Strong knowledge of structural steel design and connections.
Detail-oriented with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in steel fabrication or construction is a plus.
