Job Overview
The Experienced Tree Climber is a hands-on production role responsible for safely and efficiently performing technical tree climbing, removals, pruning, and rigging.
This position requires a strong production mindset, sound judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to work closely with ground crews and equipment operators. The successful candidate should be able to plan work ahead, execute independently, and contribute to overall crew efficiency rather than waiting for constant direction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required
· Minimum 3 years of professional tree-climbing experience.
· Demonstrated production experience in tree removal and pruning.
· Strong rigging experience.
· Working knowledge of ANSI Z133 safety standards.
· Valid and insurable driver’s license.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
· Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
· Ability to follow and complete work orders using mobile systems.
· English proficiency.
Preferred
· Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
· Crane-climbing experience.
· Experience working with cranes and knuckle-boom equipment.
· Tree-MEK experience.
· ISA Certified Arborist credential.
· Experience working on complex removals and high-production crews.
· Familiarity with ANSI A300 tree-care practices.
· Previous experience supporting residential, commercial, or municipal tree-care operations.
