TEKsystems is seeking a Healthcare Operations Project Manager to support a large hospital system here in Hawaii. They will be planning and executing complex clinical and operational initiatives, including system‑wide space optimization and service relocation efforts. This role leads multidisciplinary projects that involve clinical services, nursing leadership, construction, facilities, IT, and operational stakeholders, ensuring safe, compliant, and coordinated transitions of care delivery outside of the primary campus. The ideal candidate brings healthcare project management experience, strong stakeholder coordination skills, and the ability to manage clinical service transitions while maintaining continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery:
Lead end‑to‑end project management for operational and clinical initiatives, including service decanting and relocation projects (e.g., wound care, infusion services, ambulatory clinical programs).
Develop and manage project charters, workplans, timelines, budgets, and risk registers.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic priorities.
Clinical & Operational Coordination
Serve as the central point of coordination between clinical leadership, nursing, operations, facilities, construction, IT, and external vendors.
Facilitate multidisciplinary planning to ensure relocated services meet clinical, regulatory, operational, and patient‑experience requirements.
Partner with clinical stakeholders to document workflows, space needs, staffing considerations, and equipment requirements.
Facilities, Construction & Readiness
Coordinate closely with Facilities, Construction, and Real Estate teams to support build‑out, renovation, site readiness, and occupancy planning.
Track milestones related to permitting, inspections, safety requirements, and readiness for go‑live.
Support activation planning, ensuring operational and clinical readiness prior to service transitions.
Change Management & Communication
Lead change management efforts associated with moving services off‑campus, including stakeholder engagement and communication planning.
Prepare executive‑level updates, dashboards, and reports for leadership.
Facilitate project meetings, clinical workgroups, and decision‑making forums.
Risk, Compliance & Quality
Identify and mitigate risks related to patient safety, regulatory compliance, licensure, and accreditation.
Ensure alignment with policies, healthcare regulations, and applicable accreditation standards.
Escalate issues proactively and recommend solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with clinical program development, service relocations, or space optimization projects.
Familiarity with ambulatory care, outpatient services, or hospital campus operations.
Experience working in a unionized or highly regulated healthcare environment.
Knowledge of Hawaii healthcare landscape

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
