The Professional Services team has maintained a Traffic Migration Practice for several years. This team is responsible for moving customer circuits from legacy transport networks to next-generation transport networks. They have been assisting with a large-scale network consolidation effort as an integration partner. The initiative involves consolidating central offices nationwide, which requires migrating customer circuits to enable the process.
The team has been assigned responsibility for handling the West Region territories for this effort. Due to an accelerated timeline moving circuit groom workloads from 2027 up to 2026 additional resources are needed to manage the increased workload.
This role will involve working with various types of transport equipment across the network, not just legacy systems. Candidates should have experience with IP circuits, DWDM circuits, and SONET circuits . Experience with other network elements is a strong plus.

Responsibilities
- Develop cut plans and cut sheets for migrations
- Build Migration Methods of Procedure (MOP)
- Provide remote direction during cutover processes during maintenance windows
Network Planner/Design
- Perform data cleansing of network element equipment (Transport and IP) by reconciling inventory records with logical circuits
- Remove stranded cross-connects from equipment
- Update inventory circuit designs and disconnect circuits with 0% utilization
- Identify additional capacity needs for augmentation and ring configuration
- Migration planning based on Turn Over Package (TOP) developed by mid-range planners
- Resolve any gaps in TOP documentation
- Develop migration circuit plans for Transport and IP circuits
- Include existing A-to-Z circuit path
- Identify turn points in the existing network path
- Define new equipment path from turn point to core site equipment
- Prepare design updates and circuit groom cut sheets
