Medical Receptionist (Contract-to-Hire)Location: Rockville, MD (On-site)Duration: 4-month contract-to-hireSchedule:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PMWednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PMAbout the RoleWe are seeking an entry-level, Medical Receptionist to join a busy physical therapy clinic. This role is critical to ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional customer service. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing check-in/check-out processes, scheduling follow-up appointments, and handling inquiries both in person and over the phone.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and manage front desk operations, including check-in and check-out.Schedule follow-up appointments and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions or concerns.Document physician notes in the EMR system.Balance multiple priorities: assisting patients in person, answering phones, and supporting providers.Provide general customer service and administrative support as needed.Top Skills & QualificationsMust-Have:Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred).Strong communication skills (email and phone).Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Nice-to-Have:Healthcare experience (highly preferred).Knowledge of patient registration, scheduling, and insurance processes.Minimum Requirements:1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a front desk or administrative role.Work Environment & PerksCollaborative team environment with supportive staff.Free parking available; metro access possible but less convenient.Opportunity to transition to a permanent role after the contract period.Interview ProcessVirtual interview followed by an in-person meeting with clinic leadership.Interviews can be scheduled throughout the holiday season.Target start date: December 22, 2025.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockville, MD.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
