About The Role

Seeking a highly experienced Medical Biller to manage the full revenue cycle for our growing mental health practice. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in psychotherapy billing, strong knowledge of commercial payers, and the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the full revenue cycle: claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and patient collections.
• Accurately post insurance and patient payments; reconcile daily deposits.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
• Stay current on payer policies, especially telehealth billing guidelines.
• Generate and analyze aging reports to ensure timely collections.
• Assist with patient billing inquiries and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for mental health services.
• Develop and implement billing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with payer guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
• Manage payer relationships and stay informed on changes in telehealth and mental health billing regulations.
• Resolve complex billing issues and escalated claims.
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and finance teams to optimize workflows and improve revenue capture.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in provider medical billing, preferably in mental health or psychotherapy.
• Proficiency with billing software and EHR systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage a distributed workload.
• Experience with commercial payers such as Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and BCBS Plans.
• Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare is a plus, though commercial payers are the primary focus.

• Volume will vary depending on assignment; while focused on psychotherapy, the scale resembles a multi-physician practice.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
