What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate vehicle repair claims using your knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other automotive components.
- Speak with dealerships, repair facilities, and vehicle owners to determine warranty coverage and explain claim decisions.
- Guide customers through the claims process, including next steps for obtaining repair estimates and approvals.
- Analyze repair information to determine whether claims should be approved, denied, or escalated.
- Maintain accurate claim documentation using multiple computer systems and software applications.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while handling high call volumes in a fast-paced environment.
- Dealerships calling to verify warranty coverage for required repairs.
- Vehicle owners seeking clarification on approved or denied claims.
- Customers looking for guidance on how to initiate a claim for vehicle issues.
- 3 years of automotive mechanic, technician, or related mechanical experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of vehicle repairs, particularly:
- Engine Repair
- Transmission Systems
- Electrical Systems
- Diagnostic Procedures
- Prior customer service experience with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Comfortable working on the phone throughout the day.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- ASE certifications are a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish/English candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Automotive dealership experience.
- Experience using labor guides such as AllData.
- Experience with vehicle diagnostic scanners and tools.
- Previous warranty, service advisor, or claims-related experience.
- Two weeks of formal training.
- Additional hands-on support and mentoring while taking live calls.
- Initial training and onboarding completed fully onsite.
- Hybrid schedule available after successful completion of training and onboarding period.
- Casual, professional office environment with dedicated workspace.
- Monday-Friday schedules typically range from:
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Occasional Saturday shifts (approximately once per month).
- Flexibility required as shifts may change after onboarding based on business needs.
- Move from the physical demands of automotive repair into a professional office setting.
