Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, and VSAM
- Participate in the full SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment)
- Collaborate with product teams and technical SMEs to translate business needs into solutions
- Contribute to both new feature development and existing system improvements
- Support agile team activities (stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.)
- Partner with offshore teams as needed (may include occasional early meetings)
- Recent, hands-on experience as a Mainframe Developer
- Strong expertise in:
- COBOL
- DB2
- VSAM
- JCL
- Experience working in a development-focused (not solely support) environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with CICS
- Experience with Git / GitLab
- Background in financial services or credit card systems
- Hybrid: Must work onsite 3 days per week
