What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Network Conversion Technicians (3rd Shift Onsite Roles) position at TEKsystems?

Our client is in need of Network Conversion Technicians to participate in a critical project to upgrade all of the networking equipment in of the client's locations across the country by the end of 2026. The right candidate should have experience working in an IT Support role previous (helpdesk and/or desktop support) and have enough working knowledge of IT hardware/software to be able to work over the phone with a user in an onsite location to walk through the necessary steps to remotely convert from the old network to the new network and conduct test orders to validate the conversion was successful. They will be following a very detailed process with documented steps to follow, and the scripts they are running/automation they are deploying will all be prewritten, so attention to detail and strong ability to explain directions to the onsite contact will be most important.
Shift / Schedule
This team will be working Overnight Monday-Thursday from 11:30pm-9:30am, with each person expected to convert 3 onsite locations a night (conversions are estimated to take 3 hours).
Skills Preferred
Desktop, Help desk support, Customer service, Support, Troubleshooting, Phone support, network support
Additional Skills & Qualifications
If someone has some networking knowledge that would be helpful since they will be walking the onsite contacts through setting up network gear, but they will NOT be configuring the network and any networking issues will be escalated to that team.
