Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement & Sales Support
- Respond to inbound calls, emails, and online inquiries regarding equipment rentals
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate rental equipment
- Generate and follow up on rental quotes to drive sales and close business
- Order Management & Coordination
- Process rental orders accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate equipment availability, delivery, and pickup with operations and logistics teams
- Ensure all documentation, contracts, and billing information are completed correctly
- Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Proactively follow up on open quotes and customer inquiries
- Support account growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Inventory & Availability Support
- Monitor equipment availability and communicate timelines to customers
- Partner with yard/warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking
- Administrative & System Updates
- Maintain accurate customer and order information in CRM/ERP systems
- Track sales activity, pipeline, and key performance metrics
- Assist with reporting and data entry as needed
- Collaboration
- Work closely with outside sales, operations, and service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment
- Support team initiatives during peak rental periods
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or equipment rental industry preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Basic understanding of sales processes and closing techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and CRM/ERP systems
- Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with equipment rental is a plus
