We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide technical support and assistance to end users. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, and ensuring a positive user experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and a solid understanding of IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to help desk requests via phone, email, or in person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with user account setup and management in Active Directory or similar systems.
- Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex problems to higher-level support when necessary.
- Provide guidance and training to end users on basic IT practices.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
- Networking Basics: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and basic troubleshooting.
- Customer Service: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Preferred: Experience with Active Directory, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.
- Associate degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–2 years of help desk or technical support experience preferred.
