What You’ll Be Doing
- Receive funding packages and document requests; enter key data into systems
- Review loan documents, flag issues, and notify funders for follow-up
- Scan, upload, and organize documents into the correct loan files
- Create and track bank packages, ensuring they are returned on time
- Verify key loan details (such as MERS) within funding packages
- Prepare and distribute completed packages to internal teams
- Log incoming mail and maintain tracking spreadsheets
- Build and deliver collateral packages to the appropriate departments
- Follow up on outstanding items and escalate unresolved issues
- Support general document processing, copying, and file management
- Pay: $25/hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
- Work Setting: Fully onsite
- Location: San Diego, CA
- Duration: 12-month contract
- Interview Process: 1 virtual interview
- Accurate and complete loan files with minimal errors
- Timely tracking and return of funding packages
- Strong organization across multiple files and deadlines
- Clear communication with funders and internal teams
- Consistent follow-through on pending items and issues
- Must-Have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in mortgage or related financial work (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Comfortable with document handling, scanning, and data entry
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Nice-to-Have
- Experience with loan funding, closing, or post-closing processes
- Familiarity with mortgage documents and compliance steps
- Experience working with document management or loan systems
- Knowledge of mortgage policies or regulations
