Electronic Systems Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronic Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and servicing IP-based security systems in commercial and industrial settings. This includes access control systems, electronic door and lock hardware, cable installation, and terminations. Technicians must maintain a professional appearance and be comfortable interacting with clients to resolve issues and provide support. This is in new construction environments. This is not an entry level position. This individual will have previous experience in the low voltage field.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiar with the cables related to installing security systems
• Install and service IP-based security systems
• Work with access control, CCTV, burglar/fire alarms, and card access systems
• Run and terminate cables, including fiber (preferred)
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
• Lead or support installation teams in structured cabling or security projects
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data center environments
• Familiarity with fiber optic cabling
• Prior leadership experience in security or structured cabling teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and construction knowledge
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proficient in using hand and power tools; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights (12–32 feet or higher using lifts)
• Strong communication skills with customers and team members
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to distinguish colors for wiring and connections
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time with overtime as needed
• Willingness to travel, including nights and weekends
• Must wear company uniform and maintain a neat appearance

We are willing to train candidates who show potential but may lack experience in certain areas.

Schedule



• Monday - Friday
• 7 am - 3:30 pm
• Travel to various data centers throughout the state
• Meet at office location & jump into work van with employees
  
  
  

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
