DME Billing Analyst

Description

The Billing Support Specialist will be responsible for ensuring orders are tasked appropriately between different systems. A Billing Support Specialist determines where orders must be tasked to ensure necessary assignment for next steps is completed. The Billing Support Specialist is designed to streamline patient orders to avoid any unnecessary delays.

Key Responsibilities

Billing Operations & Revenue Cycle Management

• Ensure patient orders are properly tasked across multiple systems to avoid delays.
• Maintain and update billing records, contracts, rates, and account details in billing systems.
• Validate payor fee schedules and update price tables as needed.
• Process insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance, and Private Pay accurately and on time.
• Respond to billing-related questions from providers, insurers, and patients.
• Log into phone queues, update statuses, and provide high-level support.
• Contact providers for medical records and review for accuracy.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of healthcare billing experience; DME billing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, HIPAA compliance, medical terminology, and prior authorizations.
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
• Comfortable learning new systems and working with multiple EMR platforms.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with attention to detail.
• Skilled in conflict resolution and maintaining confidentiality.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
