This role is also responsible for leading and facilitating various committees regarding data sharing and data governance.

- Researches and creates policies and procedures regarding data system and database standards, security, and maintenance.
- Collaborates and builds strong partnerships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Prepares technical, administrative, and other reports and presentations for organizational leadership to use in a business setting. Presents written materials and reports in a manner understandable and appropriate to the intended audience.
- Translates business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams; develops and documents data access requirements and strategies. Defines, implements and documents technical requirements including data definitions, data structures, operational guidelines.
- Analyzes, plans, and defines data architecture frameworks, including security, backup and recovery, data capacity, reference data, metadata, and master data.
- Performs technical and administrative research, development, design implementation, and evaluation of the County’s automated data systems.
- Creates procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency, data integration, adherence to data standards and governance policies, and accessibility.
- Researches, recommends, implements, and maintains new database management systems and system upgrades, including system design, feasibility studies, cost estimates, impact analysis, database security, data conversion, and reduction of redundant data.
