Cloud Network Engineer – Job Description

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Operations team. This role requires strong technical expertise and engineering skills to grow into a subject matter expert for network and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, identifies requirements, and facilitates implementation while adhering to change control and release processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network solutions.
• Build and maintain cloud and network connections.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network issues quickly.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting and automation tools.
• Ensure systems remain secure and operate smoothly.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on project tasks.
• Coordinate changes across multiple systems.
• Follow and contribute to policies, procedures, and standards.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, technical institute certificate, or equivalent work experience.
• Expertise in:
• Managing public cloud accounts (AWS VPCs / Azure Tenants) and cloud connectivity.
• WAN technologies (MPLS, Eline/Waves, SDWAN, DIA circuits).
• Packet capture and root cause analysis.
• Cisco switching and routing (Nexus series).
• Scripting (Python, PowerShell, JSON, YAML).
• Automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Advanced troubleshooting for incident resolution.
• Load balancers, service mesh technology, and firewall rule management.
• Network security best practices.
• Linux and/or Windows environments.
• VMware environments.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Mill, SC.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
