Technicians need to be available to help pull cable and terminate keystone-style jacks at a large construction site
The responsibilities of a cable tech will consist of :
Pulling, terminating and testing cat5/6 and fiber optic cables
Installing other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc)
Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms
Review All Job Documentation For Assigned Projects. To Include
Floor plans – equipment locations.
Reflected ceiling plans.
Conduit call-outs.
Wall elevations.
Signal flow diagrams.
Cable pull schedules.
This job will require the employees to regularly stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat and crawl.
