Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $42.00/hr.

TEKsystems is seeking a mission-focused Systems Administrator with strong Windows Server and AWS GovCloud (US) experience to support classified Department of Defense environments. This role is ideal for a cleared professional who thrives in secure, compliance-driven infrastructures and enjoys hands-on operational ownership.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain AWS GovCloud (US) environments supporting classified workloads (IL4/IL5/IL6)
- Manage and support Windows Server-based systems in classified environments
- Ensure compliance with RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP High
- Configure and manage AWS services including EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and KMS
- Implement and enforce Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and strong IAM practices
- Perform system patching, backups, vulnerability remediation, and compliance scanning using ACAS, SCAP, and other approved tools
- Support ATO packages, POA&Ms, and continuous monitoring efforts
- Implement centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting; integrate with SIEM tools such as Splunk or ELK
- Provide Tier 3 support, conduct root cause analysis, and assist with incident response
- Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and SOPs
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
- IAT Level II or III certification (Security CE, CASP , CISSP, or equivalent)
- 3 years of hands-on Systems Administration experience
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration
- Working knowledge of AWS GovCloud (US) services
- Experience operating in classified or highly regulated environments
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, STIGs, NIST)
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Terraform, or CloudFormation)
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting IL5 or IL6 classified workloads
- Familiarity with AWS Organizations and Service Control Policies (SCPs)
- Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, or container platforms (ECS/EKS)
- Experience working with DISA assessments or CCRI events
- GIS / Geospatial / ESRI experience is a strong plus
