We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Application Developer to support and enhance international retail store applications. This role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, and collaboration across multi-tiered system environments. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced settings, adapt quickly to new technologies, and deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and test application programs using Java and web-based technologies supporting sales capture, device integration, and web services.
- Provide development support for international retail store applications.
- Optimize and performance-tune multi-tiered application systems.
- Serve as a technical lead on complex store system projects, including requirements estimation, system design, and solution development.
- Stay current with emerging software tools, frameworks, and programming techniques.
- Ensure all deliverables meet functional and quality expectations within established timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
- 5 years of hands-on application development experience using:
- Java
- Spring
- Spring Boot
- SQL
- Log4j
- Web Services
- Oracle databases
- Required experience with Spring Boot, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Docker and AngularJS is a plus.
- Oracle Retail POS experience is highly desirable.
