IT Applications Manager

Manager, Application Support
Location: 3 days onsite, Honolulu, HI, US
At TEKsystems we are supporting an organization seeking a strategic and experienced Manager of Application Support to lead and enhance our organization's application systems. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, mentoring IT staff, and partnering with business units to optimize software solutions and workflows. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in information systems, leadership, and compliance.

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and develop Business System Analysts and other IT staff.
• Make hiring decisions, assign tasks, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Communicate clear expectations and foster professional growth.

Strategic Planning & Departmental Goals

• Align departmental goals with company-wide objectives.
• Define software standards and act as IT advisors to business units.
• Support business system workflows and collaborate with developers to enhance software functionality.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Lead application projects to ensure reliability, security, and auditability.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce internal controls.

Customer Service & Collaboration

• Ensure high-quality, timely support for internal and external stakeholders.
• Investigate and recommend new software solutions aligned with business needs.

Qualifications Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Healthcare, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Experience

• 4-5 years of progressive management or project leadership experience in information systems or a related field.
• Experience with cloud analytics (e.g., Tableau) preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels.
• Ability to manage confidential information and ensure compliance.
• Capable of translating technical concepts into user-friendly language.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
