You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the company's carrier-grade network infrastructure.
This position is 100% remote, working typical daytime Alaska business hours, Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
50% - Plan, design, implement, and document new network solutions
20% - Provide escalation and troubleshooting support for operations teams
20% - Create Engineering Estimates and Installation Packages
10% - Test new technologies and service architectures in lab environments

Qualifications
- Strong experience with Alcatel/Nokia and Juniper routers/switches
- Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Familiarity with RSVP, LDP, PIM, and data center network design
- Proficiency in Ethernet technologies (VLANs, STP, LACP, MC-LAG)
- Skilled in Microsoft Visio for network documentation
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate across departments
Preferred Certifications
Nokia: NRS I / II
Juniper: JNCIA / JNCIS
Skills Required
