Key Responsibilities
- Operate horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment to install underground utilities
- Read and interpret project plans, utility locates, and bore profiles
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections on drilling equipment
- Set up and tear down drilling equipment and job sites
- Monitor drilling operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain proper drilling fluid circulation and consistency
- Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and project manager
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience operating directional drilling equipment (preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and utility maps
- Strong knowledge of HDD procedures and equipment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fiber optic or telecom installation
- Vacuum excavation or locating experience
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
