What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Teksky LLC?
We are currently hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment in a construction or utility environment.
This position requires safe and efficient operation of equipment for grading, trenching, utility installation, storm drainage work, and loading operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on active construction sites
- Operate bulldozers, excavators, front-end loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and other equipment as needed
- Perform grading, trenching, utility installation, and storm drainage work
- Load trucks and move materials safely throughout the job site
- Read blueprints and grade stakes to ensure accurate work
- Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines and procedures
- Perform daily equipment inspections, fueling, greasing, and basic maintenance
- Assist utility and storm crews when required
- Work overtime, nights, or weekends as needed based on project demands
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience
- Experience operating multiple types of construction equipment
- Ability to grade for curb, concrete, and asphalt projects
- Experience digging for utilities and storm drainage installation
- Knowledge of proper trench safety and benching techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and grade stakes
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating a motor grader
- Experience using transit laser levels
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Overtime available as needed
