Lead AI Engineer – Retirement & Wealth Domain
Cambridge, MA or Windsor, CT (Onsite role – 3 days onsite in a week)
Type - Long term contract
• Domain Knowledge
o Understanding of retirement/wealth domain (401k, ERISA basics)
o Familiarity with AI governance, audit, model risk frameworks, PII/security
Must-Have Experience
• Experience & Leadership
o 14 years of hands-on software engineering experience
o 3 years building production LLM/GenAI systems (RAG, Agentic AI)
• Core Engineering Skills
o Rust (expert level)
o TypeScript / Node.js
o React TypeScript
o Solana / Solana programs
• LLM & AI Engineering
o Production experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Bedrock
o Deep expertise in:
RAG architecture
Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, etc.)
Prompt engineering, structured outputs, and evaluation frameworks
o Implementation of guardrails, validation, and safety mechanisms
• Cloud, Infrastructure & MLOps
o Hands-on with AWS/Azure/GCP
o CI/CD pipelines, MLOps lifecycle, monitoring, observability
o Docker (required), Kubernetes (working knowledge)
Strongly Preferred
• Experience with fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA) and model optimization
• Exposure to streaming/real-time systems (Kafka, Flink)
• Knowledge of explainable AI (SHAP/LIME)
• Familiarity with financial platforms (Aladdin, Orion)
• Experience with open-source AI contributions or technical publications
• Startup/innovation lab experience with high ownership environments
