Job Description:

Purpose of the Role:

• This role leads cloud release execution, production readiness, and incident coordination across the Nx Cloud platform. You will act as the operational bridge between Release Engineering, SRE, Support, and Product Engineering to ensure every deployment is safe, reliable, well-communicated, and continuously improving.

Requirements:

Release Management:

• Own and coordinate end-to-end cloud release cycles from readiness checks to deployment and verification.
• Drive release sign-off, ensuring quality, stability, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Engineering and QA on build validation and rollback plans.
• Maintain release calendars, checklists, change records, and governance standards.
• Ensure adherence to change management processes.
• Monitoring & Incident Management:
• Partner with SRE to improve monitoring, alerting, and observability for production systems.
• Lead incident coordination and stakeholder communication.
• Manage post-incident reviews, RCA documentation, and remediation tracking.
• Identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
• Operational Readiness & Risk Management
• Ensure test, staging, and production environments are stable and release-ready.
• Coordinate environment updates and access with SRE and QA.
• Lead risk assessments, rollback planning, and contingency strategies.
• Partner with Support & Customer Success on customer-impact communication.

• Tooling & Process Improvement
• Collaborate on GitOps and CI/CD enhancements using Argo-based deployment systems.
• Identify automation opportunities across release workflows and monitoring.
• Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and onboarding for release processes.

• Cross-Team Communication
• Provide real-time release status updates to leadership and internal teams.
• Deliver post-release summaries and stakeholder reports.
• Act as the communication bridge during releases and incidents.

• Experience
• 10 years in Release Management, SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Operations roles.
• Proven experience managing production SaaS releases and incident response.
• Hands-on experience with hybrid infrastructures:
• Cloud Kubernetes (EKS)
• On-prem services deployed via Ansible & Docker Compose
• Providers such as Datapacket
• Experience using AWS Athena to analyze ALB logs.

• Technical Skills

  • Kubernetes, GitOps, ArgoCD, Terraform, Jenkins

  • Ansible & Docker Compose

  • Proficiency with Jira or similar tools

• Knowledge

• Strong understanding of AWS (EKS/ECS, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, S3, EC2)
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform/Azure
• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Gloo, Ambassador, Traefik)
• Monitoring tools: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, NetData, OpsGenie

• Education

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
