Senior Quality Engineer

TekPro is partnered with a leading contract machining company in the San Jose area in their search for a Quality Engineer! Our client is a well-established manufacturing company with 40 years in business. They pride themselves on advanced manufacturing processes and vertical integration, including world-class machining capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience within an AS9100 and ITAR compliant precision machining environment.

Description: Quality Engineer

Key Competencies

• Prepare customer Material Review Board (MRB) documentation and review corrective actions prior to customer submission
• Develop and maintain inspection procedures
• Assist with the corrective action system
• Coordinate disposition of internal and external rejection notices
• Prepare final inspection documentation
• Review and approve in-process manufacturing changes
• Investigate customer complaints and quality concerns
• Work with suppliers to ensure conformity of purchased materials
• Maintain the Approved Supplier List
• Maintain the Document Control System (Document Control Coordinator)
• Maintain the RMA List (Quality RMA Coordinator)
• Assist with internal and external audit findings
• Support the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program (CA Coordinator)

Other Duties

• Assist with conformity documentation as needed, including Certificates of Conformance (CoC)
• Gather, analyze, and provide quality records and data as required
• Assist with maintaining and updating the MSDS listing
• Develop data for monthly Quality Metrics presentations
• Develop and implement inspection-related procedures and report quality issues
• Create, update, and maintain Quality Management System procedures in compliance with AS9100D requirements

Education and/or Experience

• Manufacturing experience required; aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree and/or five to ten years of related experience
