Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs primarily for multi-axis lathes and turning centers
- Support milling operations and assist with programming for machining centers as needed
- Create and modify programs using CAD/CAM software, preferably Mastercam
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, process sheets, and engineering drawings
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Collaborate with machinists, engineering, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes
- Select tooling, establish setup procedures, and recommend process improvements
- Perform first-piece inspections and support quality initiatives
- Optimize cycle times while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards
Qualifications
- 5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong background programming CNC lathes; milling experience is also preferred
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, ideally Mastercam
- Experience with multi-axis machining and tight-tolerance parts
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on machining or setup experience is highly preferred
