Sonoco, a Fortune 500 packaging innovator, is hiring Electro-Mechanics for our Elk Grove Village plant. Reporting to the Plant Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping high-speed, advanced manufacturing equipment running smoothly and safely.
If you enjoy diagnosing and repairing both electrical and mechanical systems, and you're comfortable working on pumps, chillers, shop equipment, and PLC systems — we want to talk to you.
✅ Core Responsibilities Summary
  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, controls, PLC systems, shop and packaging machinery
  • Work with pumps, chillers, compressors
  • Perform root-cause analysis and preventative/predictive maintenance
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints
  • Use CMMS to log repairs and help organize the parts room
  • Contribute to a safe, lean, and high-performing manufacturing culture
