CNC Mill/Lathe Operator — Dimensional Control Specialist

Role snapshot

• Location: Rochester, NY
• Status: Full-time
• Shift: 2nd shift; starts at 3:45 PM. Core hours typically to ~12:30 AM, with regular overtime extending to ~2:00–2:30 AM.
• Pay: $25–$31/hour based on experience 10% shift differential
• Overtime: About 15 hours/week available

What you’ll do

• Set up and run CNC equipment safely, efficiently, and repeatably
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T requirements
• Perform in-process inspections and document results
• Adjust tool and work offsets to maintain spec
• Follow company procedures for tagging, inspection, and documentation
• Contribute to lean/continuous improvement activities
• Keep your station organized and compliant with PPE/safety standards

What you bring

• 1–3 years of CNC machining experience
• Proficiency with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• Working knowledge of tool offsets and G/M code (preferred)
• Experience with GD&T and familiarity with CNC programming
• Detail orientation, safety focus, and willingness to work overtime
