CMM Programmer - Aerospace Manufacturing

A precision aerospace manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to support inspection and quality assurance activities for high-tolerance machined components. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing CMM programs to ensure products meet customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop, program, and run CMM inspection programs for machined aerospace componentsInterpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to create accurate inspection routinesPerform first article, in-process, and final inspectionsAnalyze inspection data and document results per quality standardsSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming partsCollaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to improve inspection methodsMaintain calibration and verification of CMM equipment and related toolingAssist with internal and customer audits as neededEnsure compliance with AS9100 and customer quality requirements Qualifications 3 years of experience programming and operating CMM equipment in a machining environmentStrong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)Experience inspecting tight-tolerance aerospace componentsProficiency with CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar)Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and modelsFamiliarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systemsStrong attention to detail and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Aerospace manufacturing experienceExperience with first article inspections (FAIRs)Background in CNC machining or manufacturing engineeringAbility to troubleshoot inspection issues and optimize programs What’s Offered Direct-hire opportunity in a stable aerospace manufacturing environmentClean, organized, and quality-driven shop floorCompetitive compensation based on experienceLong-term career growth within quality and inspection functions
