Aerospace Materials Logistics Technician
Join a precision manufacturing company in the Rochester area where every component matters. As the Materials Logistics Technician on our 1st shift, your day starts by reviewing the production schedule, confirming what the machining and assembly lines need next, and lining up the right raw materials, components, and tooling to keep work moving without interruption.
You'll navigate the floor with forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts—moving materials safely and efficiently, staging orders at the appropriate cells, and returning reusable containers to their homes. When shipments arrive, you'll receive and verify them, organize inventory in designated locations, and update counts and documentation so production, purchasing, and quality teams have accurate information at all times. When needed, you'll jump in on packaging and shipping tasks to help completed parts get out the door.
What You'll Do
- Supply raw materials, components, and tooling to production departments based on schedule needs
- Move materials throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts
- Stage materials for machining and assembly lines according to priorities
- Receive, verify, and organize inbound materials and components
- Support shipping and packaging as required
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and documentation
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and aligned with safety standards
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality teams to maintain workflow
- Assist with other warehouse and material support tasks as needed
What You Bring
- 1 year of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably stand/walk for extended periods
- Comfort working in a machining/manufacturing environment
- Basic computer or ERP familiarity (a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production priorities
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused mindset
