Intern - Customer Service - Spring 2027

The Customer Service Automation & Data Analytics Intern supports the Customer Experience team by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and data management. This role partners with Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain, and IT to help streamline administrative processes, improve data quality, and reduce manual work.

The intern will gain hands-on experience working on real business challenges by organizing and analyzing data, supporting automation initiatives, and helping implement process improvements that enhance the customer experience. This internship is ideal for a student interested in business operations, analytics, AI, process improvement, or information systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Customer Service initiatives by performing data entry, validation, and data cleanup to improve data quality and accuracy.
• Assist in identifying manual processes that can be improved through automation or AI solutions.
• Help develop and maintain automated workflows that improve efficiency and reduce repetitive tasks.
• Organize, review, and maintain customer and operational data across multiple business systems.
• Analyze data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist in creating reports, dashboards, and documentation to support the Customer Experience team.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain, and IT on continuous improvement projects.
• Document current business processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Test and validate automated solutions before implementation.
• Support special projects and other administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Junior, Senior, or graduate student preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Interest in automation, artificial intelligence, and business process improvement.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, SQL, Python, or similar tools is preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly in person, by phone, and through virtual meetings.
