Production Lead (Printing) -Night Shift- Hourly- (6:45pm-7:00am)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists supervisor in directing daily activities to promote and maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area.
  • Troubleshoots equipment and makes appropriate machine repairs/adjustments.
  • Coordinates activity between various shifts to ensure smooth transition of duties.
  • Performs quality inspections on extrusion and thermoforming and printing operations.
  • Monitors production output, assists in the scheduling of employees.
  • Reviews machine output against production demands and researches ways to improve productivity. Reviews and ensures that all SPC data and production reports are complete.
  • Follows and participates in plant safe housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment. Reviews Job Hazard Analysis with employees upon hire, new lines, annually.
  • Remains compliant with SQF / HACCP requirements as per the written “Food Safety & Quality Policy”
  • Monitors departmental personnel in the safe set-up, operation and maintenance of machinery.

Experience/Qualifications Requirements

The successful candidate will have 3 years of forming and printing experience, preferably in a polystyrene manufacturing facility, and demonstrated, strong leadership experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and variables.

OSHA approved forklift and clamp truck certification

CPR/First-Aid Certified
