Service Delivery Manager

Role Overview

The Service Delivery Manager will lead strategic data and AI-driven programs, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects that span data warehouses, BI platforms, cloud migrations, and GenAI-based implementations. This role requires deep expertise in modern cloud data ecosystems, strong leadership in delivery management, and hands-on experience integrating AI technologies beyond standard AI assistants.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with stakeholders.

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.

• Drive project milestones, ensuring timelines and quality benchmarks are met.

• Manage dependencies and prioritize tasks to maintain smooth project flow.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead cross-functional teams including data engineers, BI developers, analysts, and cloud specialists.

• Collaborate with product and business teams to align technical delivery with strategic objectives.

• Maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders through reports, updates, and governance sessions.

• Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment.

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively.

• Resolve conflicts and remove roadblocks impacting delivery.

• Escalate critical issues appropriately while maintaining confidence and control.

Quality & Compliance

• Enforce adherence to data security, governance, and quality standards.

• Oversee validation, testing, and sign-off processes for data deliverables.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain detailed documentation of project plans, risks, decisions, and lessons learned.

• Generate executive-level dashboards, progress reports, and performance metrics for leadership.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10 years of experience managing end-to-end data platform or analytics delivery projects.

• Proven experience in data warehouse or data lake implementations, BI/reporting rollouts, and cloud migrations.

• Deep understanding of modern data architectures including SQL, Python-based ETL, and cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

• Hands-on experience in implementing GenAI-based delivery models, AI Ops, and agentic AI systems beyond standard AI assistant usage.

• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, cross-functional project teams.

• Strong stakeholder communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in PMP, ITIL, Agile, or Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).

• Experience in setting up enterprise data governance frameworks.

• Exposure to cutting-edge AI/ML and automation tools for enterprise operations.
