Job Title: Production Team Member
Reports to: Shift Supervisor
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Salary: $17.50/hour
Schedule: 1st shift, 8-hour shifts, 10-hour shifts, and 12-hour rotating shifts.
Job Summary
The Production Worker will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production. Alerts the team leader, shift supervisor, or the plant manager to any roadblocks or quality issues. Follows all safety regulations and wears the proper PPE.
Responsibilities
- Assist gathering material needed for order
- Feed raw materials into machinery
- Assemble goods on the production line; may trim material with box cutter
- May make minor adjustments to machinery
- Monitoring production process, ensuring quality meets standards
- Carry out basic quality checks using tape measurements and calipers; visual inspection
- Ensures all raw material is stored properly
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED required
- Ability to do basic functions on a computer to pull up digital documents for reference
- Ability to read tape measure (down to 1/8")/calipers
- Works well as a productive member of a team and maintains a positive attitude
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to listen to instructions and feedback
- Excellent attendance record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work overtime
- Forklift driving experience a plus
- Manufacturing, electrical, plumbing, or trim experience a plus
- Fluent in English
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly
- Must have the manual dexterity required to do the job
- Standing for long periods of time on hard surfaces, lifting and carrying objects, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- All work is performed in a noisy, non-temperature-controlled environment
- Safety composite toed shoes or steel toed boots/shoes must be worn in production areas while production is running; safety glasses are required.
