Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to provide technical support for advanced manufacturing systems across 1st and 3rd shifts. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, improving, and optimizing automated production equipment, including PLCs, robotics, HMIs, motion control systems, safety systems, and industrial networks. The Controls Engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to maximize equipment uptime, improve reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualification
s· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience
.· Advanced troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, including PLC-5, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix
.· Strong knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming standards
.· Experience in supporting manufacturing automation systems including
:o PLC
so HMI
so Industrial Network
so Motion Control System
so Robotic
so SCADA/MES interface
s· Expertise in troubleshooting and tuning VFDs and servo motion systems
.· Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Device Net, and IO-Link
.· Experience with programmable safety devices and machine safety systems
.· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and root-cause investigation skills
.· Excellent communication and collaboration skills with maintenance and operations personnel
.· Programming and troubleshooting experience with industrial robotic systems, preferably ABB and FANUC

Preferred Qualificatio
ns· Experience creating and updating electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLA
N.· CNC troubleshooting experience with Siemens, Fanuc, or Mitsubishi control
s.· Experience working within automotive, heavy equipment, machining, assembly, or high-volume manufacturing environment
s.· Familiarity with SCADA, MES, and manufacturing data collection system
s.· Experience supporting smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, or digital transformation initiative
