We are looking for a responsible person to join our customer services team. The successful candidate will have pride in the quality of their work, excellent attention to detail, work well on a team, and have a great attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and ship sampling kits or process receipt of samples for environmental testing
• Follow methodologies in carrying out all tasks
• Complete all required training
• Adhere to correct procedures, policies and health/safety guidelines
• Maintain adequate supplies
• Maintain work area and equipment
• Unpack and receive samples from couriers or other delivery methods
• Determine which tests the samples will be used for
• Ensure samples are free of contamination
• Use bar codes or other methods to label laboratory samples
• Preserve samples and store them properly
• Enter requisition information into the laboratory's computer system
• Follow safety standards when handling biohazardous specimens
• Know how to properly dispose of old samples

Qualifications and Skills

• Computer literacy
• Strong analytical judgment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently
• Strong organizational and data entry skills
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety standards are a plus
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
