Job Summary: We are seeking a junior-level professional for the Data Division under the NAVAIR Mission Systems Test and Evaluation Department (MSTED). The ideal candidate will gather, collate, format, filter, analyze, report, and store flight test related data sets. They will develop analysis tools and work closely with various teams to support data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Analyzing complex data processing problems and developing solutions to improve computer systems and network concerns
• Performing system management and integration functions to enhance existing computer systems
• Reviewing computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations to identify areas for improvement
• Analyzing or recommending commercially available software to support data manipulation and processing
• Developing algorithms and/or tools to extract insights from structured and unstructured data sets
• Applying mathematical and statistical theories, techniques, and methods to gather, analyze, design, and construct new processes for modeling, interpreting, and reporting quantitative information
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and mathematics, with experience in data analysis, software development, and system administration. They will also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
