Role Description The Senior System Analyst will work in a full-time, hybrid capacity based in Washington, DC, with some flexibility to work from home. This role is responsible for analyzing complex defense and aviation systems, defining requirements, and translating operational needs into technical specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting system and business analysis, developing use cases and workflow diagrams, and supporting system design, integration, and testing activities. The Senior System Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end users to troubleshoot issues, refine system functionality, and ensure compliance with technical and security standards. The role also involves preparing documentation, reports, and presentations to support decision-making, project planning, and stakeholder communication.
Qualifications
- Strong systems analysis and business analysis skills to elicit, document, and validate requirements and processes.
- Proficient analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to evaluate complex technical and operational issues.
- Solid foundation in information technology, including enterprise systems, databases, interfaces, and system architecture concepts.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with complex systems, including root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Experience in defense, aviation, or government environments, ideally with exposure to avionics or mission-critical systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, collaborating with on-site and remote teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation and briefings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, ITIL, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
