VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC on AWS)
VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC on AWS) SDDC Subject Matter Expert with deep expertise across VMware’s hybrid cloud stack, including vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, HCX, and VMware Cloud Foundation.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and operations of VMware hybrid cloud environments, with a strong focus on VMC on AWS integrations.
VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC on AWS) SDDC Subject Matter Expert with deep expertise across VMware’s hybrid cloud stack, including vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, HCX, and VMware Cloud Foundation.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and operations of VMware hybrid cloud environments, with a strong focus on VMC on AWS integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Deployment
Design, deploy, and manage VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC environments.
Architect and implement NSX-T components including micro-segmentation, DFW, routing (Tier-0/Tier-1), and load balancing.
Plan and execute HCX migrations (bulk migration, vMotion, RAV, cold migration).
Integrate on-premises VMware environments with AWS services (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, etc.).
Evaluate, test, and implement upgrades, patches, and enhancements across the VMware stack.
Architecture & Deployment
Design, deploy, and manage VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC environments.
Architect and implement NSX-T components including micro-segmentation, DFW, routing (Tier-0/Tier-1), and load balancing.

Operations & Troubleshooting
Provide expert-level troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for:
vSphere, ESXi, vCenter
vSAN o NSX-T
HCX o vRealize Suite (vRA, vROps, vRLI)
vSphere, ESXi, vCenter
vSAN o NSX-T
HCX o vRealize Suite (vRA, vROps, vRLI)
SRM and replication technologies
Support day-to-day operations of hybrid cloud environments (on-prem VMC).
Monitor and optimize performance, capacity, and availability of VMware infrastructure.
Collaboration & Governance
Work closely with cloud, network, and security teams to ensure seamless workload mobility and hybrid cloud integration.
Develop documentation, runbooks, and best practices for VMware Cloud operations.
Participate in architectural reviews and provide SME guidance for cloud transformation initiatives.
Monitor and optimize performance, capacity, and availability of VMware infrastructure.
Collaboration & Governance
Work closely with cloud, network, and security teams to ensure seamless workload mobility and hybrid cloud integration.
Develop documentation, runbooks, and best practices for VMware Cloud operations.

Required Skills & Experience
Expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, vMotion.

Strong understanding of VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) architecture and operations.
