GRC Engineer (Python API Cloud)
Location: San Jose, CA
🧾 Job Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on GRC Engineer who combines strong software engineering skills with a solid understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks.
This role requires building secure, scalable systems, developing APIs, and supporting compliance and risk management initiatives in modern cloud-native environments.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain secure backend systems using Python and/or Node.js
- Build and manage RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations
- Develop microservices-based architectures and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement security best practices across applications and infrastructure
- Support GRC initiatives, including risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and audit readiness
- Translate compliance requirements (ISO, SOC, NIST) into technical controls and automation
- Work with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Product) to ensure secure system design
- Manage and optimize database systems (SQL/NoSQL) for performance and reliability
