What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Construction Manager position at TekCom Resources, Inc.?
This position plays a vital role in supporting the Network Construction Implementation team by ensuring accuracy in billing processes, enhancing operational reporting, and streamlining construction documentation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in fiber construction and a strong understanding of telecommunications project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit purchase orders; process contractor invoices related to fiber splicing activities.
- Support financial tracking and milestone management including forecasting, vendor PO issuance/receiving, and past due invoice resolution.
- Review splice packages from Fiber Engineering and distribute accordingly.
- Track project deliverables and timelines; generate regular progress and variance reports.
- Communicate proactively with vendors and management to address billing or project issues before escalation.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and administrative support to the team as needed.
- Order police services for splicing activities as required.
- Understand service delivery and small cell requirements for close-out documentation
Experience & Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications or wireless construction management. Strong familiarity with fiber splicing and construction processes. Demonstrated ability to handle PO creation, invoice reconciliation, and construction milestone tracking. Effective communicator with internal teams and external vendors.
