Role Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer responsible for PC hardware, software, networking, and application support . The role requires expertise in Windows and Mac OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and IT service management . The ideal candidate will provide onsite and remote technical assistance , manage IT assets , and support system upgrades and incident resolution .
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals .
- Provide onsite and remote IT support for end users, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Handle PC and application support , coordinating with Level 2 and Level 3 teams for escalations.
- Manage hardware and software upgrades , ensuring user settings, data, and applications are retained.
- Support network configurations , including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall settings.
- Assist in Active Directory management , including user / group administration and policy enforcement.
- Respond to and resolve IT service requests within defined SLAs , tracking progress through a Service Desk tool .
- Develop and maintain technical documentation , including installation and configuration procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, software updates, and warranty claims .
- Support IT disaster recovery efforts and provide emergency response support.
- Provide technical assistance for onsite / offsite meetings and corporate events , including IT / AV setup.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IT service delivery and system performance.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and industry best practices for IT support.
